I used to see Dr. Kelstrom when I was a kid and the office was called Apple Dental. As I grew up, my insurance was no longer accepted by his office so I changed dentists. When I had my son, I could tell when he was 5, he was very apprehensive about going to the dentist he had been seeing since he was 2. I immediately cancelled his upcoming appointment and contacted Dr. Kelstrom's office (Now called Hazel Dell Dental Care). I didn't even think to take him anywhere else. That was 10 years ago, and he still goes here, even though Dr. Kelstrom has now retired. Dr. Jensen is just as wonderful. My son hasn't had anxiety about going to the dentist in years. I'm so appreciative that Dr. Kelstrom found a dentist just as awesome as he is, to take over his practice.

He was patient and understanding working with my mom who has dementia and poor oral hygiene. His recommendations took into account the context of the situation and not just text book answers. Really appreciated the care he provided her.

Positive experiences with Dr Kelstrom and now Dr Jensen. I prefer a conservative approach (only doing work when necessary) and both doctors have been fully aligned. I've been going for 3-4 years now and just had my first 2 fillings though I certainly could have gotten them sooner. So, in general, friendly, knowledgeable staff and consistent experience. I recommend to anyone who needs to find a new dentist.

Finding a new dentist is always nerve wracking. With the countless dental horror stories, it can be hard to find the right fit. I can say that I have had nothing but positive experiences at Hazel Dell Dental Care. I have had 3 appointments so far: my first exam, an appointment for fillings, and a cleaning. Each appointment left me feeling comfortable and well taken care of. Dr. Jensen is extremely kind and understanding. He is also extremely gentle - I could barely feel my local anesthesia being given. The hygienist and assistant were also both amazing, I have to say this was one of my most comfortable dental cleanings. Minimizing pain in dental work is so important aa the patient, and I truly believe all the staff members make an effort to keep the process as comfortable as possible.
